Program Overview

The B.E in Information Science and Engineering (ISE) at Cauvery College of Engineering focuses on the design, development, and management of information systems that drive modern organizations. This program combines computer science principles with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, software engineering, and data management. Aligned with VTU standards and NEP 2020, our curriculum prepares students to build robust IT solutions, supported by industry collaborations and innovative teaching methods that foster technical and analytical skills.

60 Seats

Candidates must have passed the PUC/10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, Electronics, or a Technical Vocational subject. A minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST & OBC candidates) in the above subjects combined is required, from a board recognized by the State Government, Central Government, Union Territories, or an equivalent qualification. Admissions are through KCET, COMEDK UGET, or JEE Main.

Internships

Internships provide practical exposure to IT environments, with opportunities to work on projects involving software development, IT infrastructure management, or database systems at reputed organizations. Our partnerships with leading IT firms enable students to gain hands-on experience and build professional networks.

Projects

Students undertake practical assignments across semesters, focusing on applications like developing IT solutions or managing databases, reinforcing theoretical concepts. The final-year Major Project involves advanced topics such as enterprise software solutions, IT automation, or cloud-based systems, often in collaboration with industry to ensure real-world relevance.

Graduates can pursue roles such as Software Developer, IT Manager, Database Administrator, or Cloud Solutions Architect in companies like TCS, HCL, and Amazon. The program also prepares students for higher studies in information technology or management.
