At Cauvery College of Engineering, Mysore, the Training & Placement (T&P) Center is dedicated to bridging the gap between academia and industry, ensuring our students are well-prepared to launch successful careers in the ever-evolving tech landscape. Established as part of our commitment to holistic education, the T&P Center plays a pivotal role in empowering our students with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to excel in fields like Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, Information Science, and Electronics & Communication Engineering. As we welcome our first batch in 2025, we are focused on building a robust placement ecosystem that leverages Mysore’s status as Karnataka’s second-largest IT hub and our strategic partnerships with leading companies.

Training Programs
Our Training & Placement Center offers a structured training framework designed to prepare students for the competitive job market, starting from their first year and continuing through their final year. These programs are tailored to the needs of our tech-focused programs and the expectations of the industry.
- Aptitude and Logical Reasoning Training: We conduct regular sessions to enhance students’ quantitative, verbal, logical, and analytical skills, preparing them for aptitude tests commonly used in recruitment processes. These sessions include mock tests and problem-solving workshops to build speed and accuracy.
- Soft Skills Development: To ensure our students excel in professional environments, we provide training in communication skills, teamwork, leadership, and time management. Workshops on public speaking, group discussions, and personality development help students build confidence and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Skills Enhancement: Domain-specific training is offered to align with our programs:
- For CSE, AI & ML, Data Science, and Cyber Security students: Training in programming languages (Python, Java, C++), AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch), data analytics tools (R, Tableau), and cyber security tools (Kali Linux, Wireshark).
- For ISE students: Focus on software engineering, database management, and cloud computing (AWS, Azure).
- For ECE students: Hands-on sessions in embedded systems, IoT, and VLSI design.
- Mock Interviews and Group Discussions: We organize mock interviews and group discussion sessions to simulate real-world recruitment scenarios. Feedback from industry experts and faculty helps students refine their approach and overcome challenges.
- Pre-Placement Workshops: In collaboration with industry partners, we conduct workshops on resume building, LinkedIn profile optimization, and interview techniques to ensure students present themselves effectively to recruiters.
- Industry-Specific Training: Guest lectures and workshops by industry professionals provide insights into current trends, such as Industry 4.0, generative AI, and 5G technologies, ensuring students are up-to-date with market demands.
Placement Process
The Training & Placement Center coordinates the entire placement process, ensuring a seamless experience for both students and recruiters. As we launch in 2025, we are actively building a network of recruiters to support our first graduating batch in 2029.
- Industry Partnerships: We have established early partnerships with leading companies like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, and local startups in Mysore’s IT ecosystem. These collaborations ensure a steady flow of internship and placement opportunities.
- Pre-Placement Talks (PPTs): Companies are invited to conduct PPTs to introduce their organization, roles, and expectations to students. These sessions help students understand the company culture and prepare accordingly.
- Campus Recruitment: The T&P Center facilitates on-campus recruitment drives, providing state-of-the-art facilities like a seminar hall for presentations, interview rooms, and computer labs for online assessments. We also support pooled campus and off-campus drives.
- Internship Opportunities: Starting from the second year, students are encouraged to participate in summer internships with reputed organizations. These internships provide hands-on experience in areas like software development, data analytics, cyber security, and IoT, preparing students for full-time roles.
- Job Offers and Follow-Up: All job offers are communicated through the T&P Center. We ensure transparency by sharing written offers with students and coordinating acceptance processes with companies.
